April 12, 2013
We were fortunate to host Dr. Cheehyung Kim, Duke University ACLS fellow in the Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies, as a guest speaker on April 12, 2013. In his talk titled, "North Korea, War Making and the International Community", Dr. Kim gave an insightful discussion about the current events and situation surrounding North Korea in a historical and global context. He addressed issues of the nuclear program, refugees and power transfer and the fundamental questions of our perspectives of North Korea as a place and people.
Thanks to all the Georgia Tech students that came out to the event. We had a full house with over sixty students in attendance. The Question and Answer session was great thanks to all the perceptive questions from GT students. Also, special thanks go to Professor Seok-bae Jang, our faculty advisor, who made this event possible in organizing and coordinating the event.
